What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual Direction is a way of increasing your awareness of the divine and examining how that holy force is both drawing you closer and leading you forward in life.

Spiritual directors are trained and experienced in creating a safe and welcoming space for spiritual exploration. People from all backgrounds bring questions, doubts, sacred stories and experiences to spiritual direction. It is a time of holy listening and gentle soul searching.

Typically, spiritual direction sessions run about an hour and are scheduled once a month. The sessions are directee-centered and confidential. Spiritual direction is not counseling or therapy, however it can be a nice complement to an overall health and wellness program. Our fees for spiritual direction are a sliding scale from $50 to $75 per session, with accommodation for special financial circumstances.

Who are we?

Teresa Blythe, Rabbi Helen Cohn and the Rev. Greg Foraker are three experienced spiritual direction colleagues with a shared vision and passion for the practice of spiritual direction in a multi-faith culture.  We all teach in the Hesychia School of Spiritual Direction at the Redemptorist Renewal Center.
