I approach the art of spiritual direction as a prayerful and meditative practice.  Spiritual direction provides a sacred time and space to delve beneath the surface of everyday life experience, to witness the deeper yearnings of a directee’s spiritual journey.

Both individual and group spiritual direction sessions are occasions for contemplative listening: hearing the sacred stories of a person who is seeking to attune to the presence of the holy and transcendent in one’s life.

I work with clergy and lay directees from diverse multi-faith settings and spiritual practices, and with persons who are not affiliated with a particular tradition.  I am wholeheartedly open and affirming of gay, lesbian, bi and transgendered persons.

I am an Episcopal priest and currently serve as Assistant to the Rector at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church in Tucson, Arizona, and on the faculty of the Hesychia School for Spiritual Direction.  I also lead workshops and retreats in diverse ecumenical and interfaith settings.
